TMK had a successful participation in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Exhibition 2012 which was held at Abuja, the capital of Nigeria from the 20th to 23rd of February, 2012. The conference was officially opened by Engr. Austen Oniwon, CEO of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) who acted on behalf of the President of Nigeria H.E. Goodluck Jonathan.
The conference and exhibition attracted high level delegates of the petroleum industry in Nigeria with over 1,000 conference delegates, 180 exhibiting companies, 80 presenters and over 60 sponsors. Despite the scare and security concern in the country, the Nigerian oil and gas summit was well attended with no security issues recorded.
International Companies that participated in the NOG 2012 exhibition include but not limited to: Shell, Eni, Saipem, Chevron, Seven Energy, Afren, ExxonMobil, Total to mention a few. In addition to the Seminars held at the conference, technical sessions were made by oil and gas experts with presentations on solutions peculiar to the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry.
Head of TMK’s International Marketing, Semyon Astakhov attended the conference with TMK’s presentation concerning TMK’s solutions to the Nigerian Gas Industry. The exhibition was a success for TMK by developing business relations with existing and new customers operating not only in Nigeria but also in sub-Saharan Africa as a whole.
