TMK is strongly committed to ensuring a safe working environment and protecting the lives and health of its employees. The Company seeks to prevent injuries at its facilities and constantly improves its occupational health and safety (OHS) management system.
The Company’s approaches to OHS are set out in TMK’s Occupational Health and Industrial Safety Policy and Industrial Safety Policy. In addition, the Company is guided by the requirements of national laws while also exploring and adopting global best practices.
All TMK pipe plants are certified to ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, while the remaining sites are certified to GOST R ISO 45001-2020.
To enable rapid hazard identification, TMK has in place a multi-stage digitally-enabled monitoring system. The Process Safety Control module, based on the OTPB.Online OHS management system, shortens response times by allowing information on detected deviations to be entered into the system via mobile phone to ensure a timely response to hazardous situations.
To improve working conditions and protect employees’ health, all TMK enterprises run regular occupational risk assessments, special assessments of working conditions, workplace microclimate monitoring, employee training and certification, and employee health monitoring. TMK’s production enterprises have in place 24/7 medical aid posts, while Volzhsky Pipe Plant (VTZ), Seversky Pipe Plant (STZ), and Taganrog Metallurgical Plant (TAGMET) have their own polyclinics
TMK holds an annual Safety Day, bringing together TMK and contractor employees. In addition, TMK’s Best OHS Organization, a corporate competition, is held every year.
