TMK comes to Sakhalin to discuss hydrogen energy development

TMK is showing off its high-tech tubular solutions and discussing the development of hydrogen energy and offshore projects at Sakhalin Oil & Gas 2021 Far Eastern Energy Forum held in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk from September 28 to 30.

TMK’s display at the forum showcases pipes made of special steel grades with TMK UP premium threaded connections, including products supplied for development projects offshore Sakhalin Island. The Company is involved in hydrocarbon projects on the Sakhalin shelf, specifically the Sakhalin-1 and Sakhalin-2 projects where TMK’s high-tech developments have replaced the imports of the products concerned. In addition, forum participants and guests will be introduced to the Company’s entire product range and comprehensive service offerings presented in a digital and interactive format.

TMK’s delegation at the forum will hold talks with its partners from the oil and gas industry, and discuss the creation of a hydrogen cluster on Sakhalin within the forum’s business program. The Company intends to actively contribute to the development of hydrogen energy in the region and across Russia in general, including through the development and supply of next-generation products for all stages of the production chain (production, transportation, storage and use of hydrogen), as well as through joint projects in science and education.
