ТМК Continues Upgrade of Management Information Systems

TMK has agreed an Open Subscription License with Microsoft, with the assistance of the Tops Business Integrator consultancy, partner of the world’s largest IT companies. This scheme allows effective planning of software support costs. It also covers procurement of all Microsoft upgrades during the period of agreement. The Microsoft Open Subscription License is used by many large Russian companies, including metallurgical ones. As part of its continuing programme of upgrading its management systems, TMK Group has taken another step in the modernization of its corporate networks. TMK announces that it will integrate all office applications and server products in the Group on the basis of Microsoft software. According to it, TMK has received licenses for operation of the required range of Microsoft office applications and server products, including Windows, Office, Exchange Server platforms, etc. The License covers using Microsoft products in OJSC TMK and CJSC TMK Trading House. During 2005 and the beginning of 2006 it will also be extended for plants operating in the holding.
