TMK and Salym Petroleum Development N.V. signed an agreement of strategic cooperation

TMK and Salym Petroleum Development N.V., a joint enterprise set up on a par by “Shell” trust and the Russian company “Avikhon”, signed an agreement of strategic cooperation.

The document envisages supplying pipes of oil and gas range manufactured by TMK – casing pipes, tubings and seamless oil-pipeline pipes – to company SPD. The agreement also contains the tools governing a long-run and efficient pricing policy that will allow to make the team work of companies more successful. The agreement is concluded for a term of 3 years with possibility of further prolongation.

In compliance with the agreement TMK covers no less than 90% of SPD’s demand for casing pipes, tubings and seamless oil-pipeline pipes of the quality that meets the customer’s requirements. Tubular goods for SPD’s demand will be manufactured at all the Russian pipe works of TMK.

TMK and Salym Petroleum Development N.V. have been successfully cooperating since 2003. In 2005 TMK supplied to SPD more than 10 thousand tons of pipes.

Vladimir Oborsky, General Director of Trade House TMK, remarked that the agreement had a mutually beneficial nature. “The agreement will become a significant component of increasing the stability and predictability of joint activities of TMK and SPD, an important factor of steady development of oil and gas market”, - pointed out Vladimir Oborsky.
