TMK took part in the 19th Moscow International Energy Forum – Russian Fuel and Energy Complex in the XXI Century to discuss the prospects for hydrogen energy and TMK’s contribution to its advancement.
TMK was represented by Konstantin Belyaev, Deputy Director for Pipe Sales in the Domestic Market, who said that TMK and Sinara Group are now jointly preparing integrated R&D programs targeting solutions for hydrogen energy.
“TMK, a leader in downstream value-added steel products, understands very well that new technologies are the future of the energy industry. Along with developing innovations for hydrocarbon production, we also pursue R&D for other promising areas in the energy sector. TMK’s program to develop products for hydrogen energy includes R&D, participation in the government’s decarbonization initiatives, rolling out the infrastructure for hydrogen production, transportation, storage and use, as well as other related technologies and activities. Our partners from Sinara Group, in turn, are focused on technologies for public and rail transport. We expect to adopt these R&D programs in the near future,” said Konstantin Belyaev.
TMK is proactively taking part in discussions about advancing hydrogen energy at the national level. For instance, the Company joined the Council of Industrial Partners, a governance body of the Technological Hydrogen Valley consortium established to join efforts of R&D institutions, manufacturing companies and relevant agencies to form a conceptual framework for developing hydrogen technologies.
