TMK has implemented a software robot (robotic process automation, RPA) to automate recruitment. The project using UiPath was implemented together with the Russian IT company GMCS and significantly reduced the amount of labor at TMK’s HR function while increasing the efficiency of the recruitment process.
The new intelligent system rolled out at TMK is designed to optimize the entire range of recruitment-related tasks. The robot automatically shortlists published CVs against preset criteria and submits them to the responsible unit for approval. Then it requests necessary documents from the approved candidates, invites them to an interview and sends tests. Successful candidates are automatically invited to join the Company. The robot also keeps the customer informed about all stages of the process.
In addition, the software solution enables performance evaluations of the HR team and the identification of bottlenecks in the candidate search process. To do this, the robot informs managers about the amount of time spent by HR employees on recruitment tasks and records time intervals from seeing a CV to hiring or sending a rejection. The solution can be rolled out at any enterprise within less than one business day.
“TMK sees robotic process automation across its business processes as an important and effective tool for improving back-office performance. Within a short timeframe, our partners and we have developed and implemented a recruitment robot by leveraging industry best practices. TMK sees great potential in further rolling out RPA solutions across core business processes, as it will enable the Company to grow its digital assets in a highly competitive market,” said Dmitry Yakob, TMK’s IT Director.
“HR has long grown beyond recruitment and paperwork. Today, it is a comprehensive system comprising motivation, upskilling, HR consulting and other business services, which require our employees to have solid knowledge and deep involvement in the process. That is why we try to free them up as much as possible from simple routine tasks. With the software robot, most recruiting tasks are done automatically, saving up to 30% of working time on CV processing alone. Automation also eliminates technical errors and increases the efficiency of recruiting and the HR team in general,” said Elena Pozolotina, Deputy CEO for Human Resources – Director of TMK2U Corporate University.
“Once the project is completed, the recruitment robot will be able to process about 10 thousand CVs daily. Its capacity can be expanded as necessary, requiring no customization by third parties,” said Dmitry Smykalov, Head of the RPA practice at GMCS.
“The UiPath RPA platform’s functionality enables robotic automation of business processes involving repetitive formalized procedures. From the practical point of view, this minimizes human error and allows staff to focus on the tasks that the machine is not capable of handling yet. We were happy to support TMK in this forward-looking undertaking and are committed to further driving RPA adoption among modern enterprises,” said Svetlana Anisimova, Country Manager at UiPath, Russia and CIS.
