Horizons, TMK and Sinara Group’s corporate international forum, has officially launched in Sochi. Delegations from more than 65 plants from across Russia are attending the offline event, while participants from TMK’s European Division will make their presentations online.
The forum is organized by TMK2U Corporate University. The highlight of the event will be the Youth Scientific and Technical Conference where representatives of plants and management companies will suggest innovative ideas for production and management process upgrade, as well as for new products and services. The winners of the conference, which will comprise four tracks (ESG, Business, Digital, and Metallurgy SMART) and 18 areas, will be able to implement their projects at their respective companies.
The forum participants will be able to join SOTА School training sessions to develop new soft skills, and participate in business program events: meetings with TMK and Sinara Group management, as well as invited speakers, including representatives of educational institutions and partner companies: National Research University – Higher School of Economics (HSE University), McKinsey & Company, Rostelecom Solar, and others.
Traditionally, the forum will include a contest among young masters of trade – Leadership Workshop, a futsal tournament, and a corporate KVN festival. This year’s novelty is the Ideas Park section, where the best startups chosen by the Moscow Accelerator will make their presentations, and awards will be presented to the most innovative and proactive employees who distinguished themselves during the year in continuous improvement engine projects, innovation or R&D. In addition, corporate information security teams will conduct the first cross-industry manufacturing related cyber training.
All TMK and Sinara Group employees will be able to follow the forum via an online live broadcast in the Mobi2U corporate mobile application.
“Unlocking employee potential and providing talented employees with an opportunity to distinguish themselves is a key objective of TMK’s HR policy. The Horizons corporate forum is critical to this process, being a kind of an engine of upward mobility for young people. This year, representatives of Pervouralsk and Chelyabinsk pipe plants, Yartsevsky Metzavod, and Rakityansky Armaturny Zavod attended the forum for the first time. Expanding the event’s list of participants is a significant factor in bringing teams closer together, building a single healthy working and creative environment while fostering and maintaining a common corporate spirit,” said Elena Pozolotina, Deputy CEO for Human Resources – Director of TMK2U.
This year’s forum is already the 17th such event, held offline in compliance with all COVID-19 protocols, whereas in 2020 it was a fully online event. The Horizons forum and its key event, the Youth Scientific and Technical Conference, aim to identify and support proactive and promising young talent. Since its inception, the Conference has helped to build an effective engine for recruiting, selecting and promoting the most gifted, well-trained and proactive young specialists and managers. The economic benefit from implementing projects selected through the Conference exceeds RUB 1 billion annually.
