An engineering structure made of pipes, connected by welded, flanged, threaded, and other connections, for transporting liquids, gases, slurries, solids, and other products over a distance. Depending on the type of the transported product, pipelines are also called gas pipelines, oil pipelines, oil product pipelines, condensate lines, etc.
